MT-32 ist ein früher Synthesizer von Roland, der fast aber nicht ganz MIDI-kompatibel ist. Eine Reihe von Retro-Computerspielen erreicht mit MT32 einen viel besseren Sound als die FM-Synthese mit AdLib, SoundBlaster usw. Normales MIDI ist ein offener Standard. Für MT32 braucht man die Original-ROMs.
